"Everything,
All at Once"
Written
and performed by Katie Rubin
The fabulous Katie Rubin returns to The Cell in
an all-new show! Thurs., June 20 thru Sun., June
23
Priscilla,
the Uptight producer who manages CBC (an invented
TV Network) is trying to pull her flailing company
back from the brink of death. Where
she used to rent studio space to Hollywood Big Wigs, now she is housing
what she considers the lowest of the low. She's got Katie Rubin
speaking about "her spiritual awakening or some shit like that" at
a Ted Conference in Studio A, Berlene selling "The Tummy Tightener" in
an infomercial in Studio B, a weirdo Scientist Guy being interviewed
by an even weirder PBS host in Studio C, a Cuban "Curadora" stealing
camera time in a back closet, and a taping of the network's desperate
attempt to increase rating, "America's Got Poetry!" Will
she survive the day with all these weirdos in her space? Will
she be able to pull her company back from the edge? And, most
importantly, what does Priscilla herself have to learn from their presence?
Come find out, as Katie Rubin explores: " EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE!"
"An unlikely exploration of the theme of Unity and Inter-human connection
that will have you laughing, crying, sighing, and begging for more
when it's all over!" -Alicia Dattner, Writer, Coach, Comic |
